How is my price calculated?+
Server-side: van base rate + per-mile + estimated hours. The number is the number — no day-of adjustments.
Can the driver change the price on the day?+
No. The price is locked in Stripe. The driver cannot raise it. If they try, you get an instant refund.
What about a fuel surcharge?+
Built into the base rate. UK diesel fluctuates ±10% week to week; we do not pass that to you.
Do I pay upfront?+
Yes — full payment at booking. Driver sees the gross fare and our platform fee. You get an itemised receipt.
How are drivers verified?+
Driving licence + V5 cross-checked with DVLA. Insurance certificate reviewed. Stripe Connect payout set up.
Can I cancel?+
Free up to 24h before. After that, 50% refund. Driver can cancel any time with full refund to you.
How long does the job take?+
Depends on volume + distance. Small studio 1-bed flat within London: 2-3 hours. 3-bed house cross-country: 6-8 hours.
Something was damaged. What now?+
Goods-in-transit cover is included. File a claim from your dashboard — we mediate, the insurance pays out.
